GCHQ Cryptographic Puzzle Sequence
So as some of you may know GCHQ is the British Governmental Communication Headquarters, a security firm of sorts.
And this year, as widely publicised, they released a set of puzzles, each accessible by the solution to the previous cryptographic puzzle, it combines all aspects of the mind and is designed for very few to solve this puzzle. Although it has become something of a phenomenon, with the gchq website hosting the challenge was overloaded by traffic trying to access the puzzle.
This thread is created not solely for publicising the puzzle, but also to see how everyone who has tried this is getting on, as personally I am a few puzzles in and finding it very difficult.
Below in the spoiler is the first puzzle, with the instructions as follows:
In this type of grid-shading puzzle, each square is either black or white. Some of the black squares have already been filled in for you.
Each row or column is labelled with a string of numbers. The numbers indicate the length of all consecutive runs of black squares, and are displayed in the order that the runs appear in that line. For example, a label "2 1 6" indicates sets of two, one and six black squares, each of which will have at least one white square separating them.
Best of luck! And if you need any help or would like to report any achivements feel free to below.
