The Book of Records Rules [Please Read Before Posting]
- No multiplayer or mods
All records must be set in single player with default gamerules unless the record specifies otherwise. Time records are required to have an engage distance of 100 or more. Otherwise, engage distance may be changed provided Tori and Uke do not make contact on frame 0.
- Records must be legitimate
Replay hacking, physics-altering scripts, glitches or any other methods that provide an unfair advantage in breaking records are not allowed.
- Check existing records
Posting record attempts is allowed, but they will not be verified unless they contend for the record held in The Book of Records.
- Records must not be stolen
To break a record, the attempt must be made from scratch. Collaboration or modification of another person's attempt is not allowed.
- Records must be simple and objective
Record submissions must be clearly defined, straightforward, and quantifiable. Overly specific, subjective, or ambiguous categories will be rejected. Feel free to PM one of the local moderators to check if it would be valid.
- Backseat moderation is not allowed
Users may discuss possible errors or glitches in records, but should not declare records invalid. Record legitimacy is determined by the Book of Records moderators.

Posting to say you believe there's an error or glitch in the record is fine. But directly telling people their records are invalid is unacceptable. It is the Book of Records moderators job to verify the legitimacy of a record, not yours.
