I don't know what the heck happened, I cleaned out the whole interior of the PC, took out the RAM cards then put them back in but I still went from 13 GB of RAM down to 8, any idea why or how this could of happened?

Could a virus cause one to malfunction and stop working?

I'm not really good on RAM information, that's why I asked. I never heard of RAM depleting itself unless you remove it from the motherboard.

So when I cleaned out the interior I probably damaged one?
