North Korea considers U.S. actions a "declaration of war"
North Korea said in an interview with USA Today that the United States of America had "crossed the red line" with it's joint expeditions with South Korea in the demilitarized area and supposed nuclear blackmails. North Korean diplomat for U.S. affairs Pyongyang said that North Korea now considers their country and the U.S. to be at a state of war due to the "extraordinary crime the U.S. has committed". Now obviously both countries have strong nuclear arsenals. How do some of you think this might play out? North Korea has already cut off communications with Washington by terminating the "New York channel". Discuss.

The problem is that friend saw through them and now has a shotgun. Back on topic what do you guys think would be the chances of both countries firing nuclear warheads at one another?

True I did hear about South Korea's intercept system. North Korea knows they are outmatched and I'm sure they don't want nuclear fallout anywhere close to them so I guess it depends on if they attack or not. They have been testing hydrogen bombs and long range missiles so it could be an indication they are ready to.

That would just start a bigger war. Russia may side with coreea, chiana is a strong force of the world.
U just need a spark to set the hole thing on fire. Thats the real menace imo, not koreen that has no real firepower compared to us.

Yes like tanto said there isn't enough reason for Russia to defend North Korea. And China is already on side with the U.S. and NATO. I find the likeliness of NK actually launching a warhead relatively low.

Is it possible to shoot a nuclear bomb in the middle of a launch process and destroy it before it comes to us or blast it in the middle of the sky
Yes when it's over the ocean NATO and South Korea will launch interceptors. I haven't looked into exactly what the projectiles are but I assume small missiles.

Don't think Kim and his crew really thought his plan out, the only possible allies for North Korea are Russia and Cuba, and I believe Bulgaria or something, Many would say China is a threat but China only cares about their Trading alliances, and will most likely join the winning side, if they even need to join IF there is war in the first place. Further more, There are very few places in which North Korean Missiles could reach Claimed by the United states, Hawaii and Alaska I believe are the only two and a possible California, their weapons aren't very advanced, and if they do plan to launch a nuclear attack the missiles will be shot down but I believe that the retaliation will not be with nukes but with smaller missile types or an invasion of the country to protect the lives of the innocent in North and South Korea.

but, you never know until it happens.

Yes does anyone here know more about how they intercept warheads?

Anyone that aligns themselves with NK after an attack by them would be immediately become an international pariah. China's wary of them already (after having to justify their relationship after all these previous tests and threats), and Putin's too much of a realist to side with them. No need to worry about the possibility of a world war or anything.

If a war broke out there might be some damage done to SK, but I don't think war is likely. Like every other time, this is just posturing. Kim Jong-Un is trying to appear to be a strong leader to his people - If he is seen as weak, dissent would grow and there would be challenges to his leadership. Assuming he's not balls-to-the-walls retarded, he understands it'd be suicide to go to war.

tl;dr - We've got nothing to worry about unless Un is an emotional madman who disregards the advice of all his advisors.
