MOTD of All Public Servers - Links to Forum
With my experience of being involved in the "Help" board, and hosting the Beginner Giveaway, there has been very little beginner activity in both the Beginner Sanctuary and the Beginner Giveaway. I believe that there should be an MOTD added to all public servers to include a link to the forums. This change could help bring new and even some older players to the forums and get them involved with the community to give them some incentive to stay around and play longer.
Example of a Beginner server MOTD:
Need some help in-game? Come take a look at the Beginner Sanctuary!: http://forum.toribash.com/forumdisplay.php?f=362
Example of a Public server MOTD:
Looking to make friends to play with? Come take a look at the Toribash Forums!: http://forum.toribash.com/index.php
I believe it would be a nice, simple, and effective way to bring new people into this community.

Yes, it would be in all public rooms (examples below). I gave a small example of what how the MOTDs would adjust based on how much experience the users have in the game, each different MOTD would be a different message.
In Beginner rooms, it would be essential that we start them out by linking them to the forums and telling them about teachers, learning how to play, and asking questions in Beginner Sanctuary when something is unclear to them.
In Semi-Pro, once they are starting to learn, it would be an interest them to tell them about items to help them stick around (possibly a link to the shop and/or Beginner Giveaway).
In Intermediate, once they are somewhat familiar with the game and how it works, it would be nice to link them to the rules to help them formulate their behavior and interactions between users.
Once a user is restricted from all the servers above, it would a good thing to tell them the forums is not only where rules and guidelines are, but that you can make friends to play with and become part of the community through events and clans.

I think it would be wise to emphasize on events, social behaviors and clans. Nothing makes one stay more but connections, friends etc.

Since the links are big, we could use a link compressor to make them fit in the MOTDs. (can't show example because they're censored on this website).
