I* have [something]__to+++say
I'm going to preface this by saying that Everyone who has gotten legend deserves it. I will also say that this has nothing to do with the new legend list, I've been talking about this for a while and decided not to post anything until now. I have no ill will or issue with people who do replay making, and I believe it's a pivotal part of the game that cannot be ignored. I am indifferent to whoever recieves it.

Now that I have said that,
Why are there 72 legends, and there are only 8 players that are on there because they are skilled in MP. With 4 of them considered "dominant."

Now look, I understand we don't just hand that shit out like candy, right? Ok, cool, I understand, but every single "mp competitive" legend is an account from 2009-2008. While the vast majority of the replay makers have varying dates, some are newer. (This is an important statement.)

There is no debate that Michael Jordan is the most influential basketball player of all time. However, MJ was not the BEST basketball player of all time.
There is no debate that Biggie and Tupac were some of the most influential rappers of all time, but that does NOT make them the BEST.

My point is, maybe it's a stupid statement or even a question, but I can think of 3 people off the top of my head who are Duel/competitive legend-grade. However, I feel like to "qualify" as a legend, people have to generally like you. That isn't and shouldn't be true at all. Kanye West is a legend in music. Are you going to tell me Kanye was a bad artist? (we aren't talking about recent music...) The qualifications for recognition confuse me quite a bit. If the reason they aren't a legend is XYZ, is there any point in time when it could be something separate, maybe? So that those who have been funding this fuckass economy can get some recognition for how much time they spent clicking balls against someone else?

"New age" duelers leave much to be desired, but quite frankly, it's hard to innovate something like that in a game like this. There is a formula set by previous legends. And within the last 8 years, there have been people who have perfected that. Consistently. I'm not going to name people off because I'm trying not to have a glaze competition, but there are definitely a few people you can think of yourself that have done some significant shit within dueling/comps in the last few years.

TLDR: either make a separate system of MP recognition (skill-based legends) or add people to the legend list who have dominated MP within the last 8 years. Regardless of their "history."

i think giving known scammers and gambling addicts who partake in the ball clicking slot machine legend sets a bad precedent

its almost like if you have 70 million fazbear funtokens on toribash it might be easy to bank someone who has 1 million simply due to the fact you can coinflip their entire tc every single game until you inevitably manage to hit the max win on the toricoin slot machine

MJ HAVING RINGS DOES NOT MEAN HES THE BEST. The floor for a game or sport rises the longer it goes on, LeBron has done shit that mj hasn’t, and has achieved things he hasn’t. It’s nostalgia talking, and I’m sure in today’s game you put prime mj and LeBron against eachother it would be close and entertaining but LeBron will win that’s

Yes one of the people I was referring to was shmevin
It's an interesting topic to bring up, I agree with the sentiment that more multiplayer legends are due (along with MMA, artists, modmaking, etc)

It is an important statement, but I don't necessarily find it to be very... true? The youngest legend prior to my inclusion I think was Static, who registered in 2014 and received it from very specific circumstances. If we exclude him, the most recent legends are from like 2012 or older. I don't feel as though this is a problem with multiplayer specifically but just a problem with the legend system as a whole which is now hopefully being rectified. I'm not exactly young myself, I registered 11 years ago. There have been legends historically who received it like 4 years or less after registering

This point confuses me though, I feel as though legends are intended to be for the community (their idols, who they look up to and resonate with) and so those that aren't "generally liked" I find would be odd inclusions that would surely upset more people than would be made happy. Replaymakers are playing by the exact same rules as comp players, it's not anyone's fault that the comp environment typically leads to toxcitiy/scamming and the like which can make it more difficult to justify, though there ARE some comp players that have been missed

I encourage you to write nominations about those you feel deserve it pretty please ^_^

duelers and the multiplayer community in general have always been known to be the most toxic pieces of SHIT!!!! for as long as the game has been alive

anyone that u suggest will be a tough sell doesnt matter how good they are

ESPECIALLY AFTER recent events of duelers publicly shitting the bed for everyone to see (Yonker lol)

by repeating the process that was just described, simply with lower numbers. and also probably either scamming people or spending real money on a virtual currency in a game from like 2006 take your pick really
