Story telling project

Hey, to anyone seeing this post, I decided to make a video out of toribash for fun and to improve my editing skills over time. If there is anyone that is well-versed when it comes to video editing I would love to recieve some cnc to help with my improvement process.

Thank You

Excited to see how this will proceed

1. What kind of "theme" are you looking for when you're creating this video? Calm, intense, action-based, etc.
Based on the song you've chosen, I assume you'll make a more intense-like video? "I'll fight my way out of this"

2. What kind of editing style/skill do you want to develop?

3. When you're creating a story, try to mimic a story telling from a book. Use your imagination based on the text you're reading from a novel, book, history etc. That will shape your video into the liking you're creating

I got 2 references you can use, to get somewhat inspiration.

Ayy thanks for the feedback! The kind of theme I'm going for is an intense, action-packed story, a short story though. Right now, I want to work on my pacing, story structure, music sense, and to improve on capturing emotion with my editing. I honestly am not sure what kind of editing style I would like to achieve yet, so I'm kinda just experimenting with whatever. Thanks for the references to work with, I can already feel the creative juices flowing .

A good tip to use;

- Don't rush the video clips, don't speed it up. Use replays with normal speed (Most of the time) and try to make the replays "realistic" in terms of the movements when it's more "cinematic".
In that way, the video itself dont feel rushed and the music will just become more of the background and not in the "centre" of choice.

- Don't cut the video clip to fast, let some of the videoclip breathe before changing.

- Let the camera angles "speak", in that way you can guide the audience on where they should focus on when they're watching the video.
For an example - A spar fight can have alot of different camera angles, but some are preferebly close-ups, to get a feeling on where the hands hit the body
Or when it comes to Power moves, a more Narrow to wide angle can make it feel like a hard hit towards the body

Mocucha have some old and goodies when it comes to story telling, such as the 'Brother of Agility'-series. Take a look on those to get some inspiration :^)

Good luck
