Rating,tips on shading(have no idea how to do)

hmm i made it from scratch and haven't even looked at darkjaks sets,lacks shading:exactly,that's what I need help with,is it that complex to do or can someone post or pm a brief tutorial thanx.(What kind of effects can be added)
