so i've been reading all round megura and came across the concept of a strike throw submit chain and played around with the concept in game. i would look to punch or knee into a throw setup. i defined submit as locking down enough limbs to force a dq. Striking into a throw also meant i had to worry less about points late game.

I checked the link I couldn't find what you were reading. But I like that your on that level of combining and mixing techniques. Those make the best replays and chaining techniques together makes you pretty much an unstoppable badass.

I do like the back pass technique. Thats something i want develop in the future, a high percentage tactic to get to a persons back.

Lemme know what ya think.

Very nice looks powerful. I have a habit of going for the legs when I get that low but keep it up i might try it.

Yes its not the "german" chest to back suplex but as long is it goes straight back over the Tori's head and you have the back arched, its a suplex.

Woah woah. I promise nobody is going to look at all those. Do me a favor nugeten and cut that down to 4-8 replays. Replay dumps are excessive and it looks more interesting if you write a description of each replay. Post the rest of your replays in the future in small groups.

Okay I just wanted to share these replays that display the tactical advantage of judo techniques.

The first ashi guruma replay shows me setting the throw immediately after a kick catch. But notice that my legs are initially at a bad throwing angle so instead of executing I keep the setup and apply force with my sweeping leg.
With some patience and a little lifting force my opponent loses his base and immediately is inverted and then thrown down.
What this shows me is that if you can get the right setup all you have to do is judge your opponent for the right time to execute.

The second replay, osoto gari (3) shows me executing a leg sweep while simultaneously blocking my opponents punch. With the head and arm control the sweep works great. What I found to be really neat is that after he bases himself i sort of reload the attack by contracting by base knee, and extending the elbow that controls his head. After firing these two joints again the momentum continues and finishes the opponent.
This shows that an attack can be reloaded and repeated as long as you keep control of your base and your opponent.

Aight, so I did this a while ago.

I try to get behind his leg to destabilize my opponent, but he dodges it and manages to put me at a disadvantage.

Frame 450 im falling down, he pushes down to destabilize me even more. I rotate my chest and use his own force to bring him over me. dq by frame 423, before he could even see it coming.

Doesn't look very 'realistic' but if that's not aikido, I don't know what is

(I hope this is not the wrong place to post this.. seemed fitting to me :x)

Trapping the leg after you throw, smart. But I think you need to use a sweeping leg for the throw to be ashi guruma. Still good move.

I moved this to replays because it doesn't fit any on going study.

Still I like the throw. You could call it a half-throw or lateral drop. Contracting the knee on your base leg demontrates the high risk = high reward factor. I'm keeping this replay for myself to look at, nice job.

I didn't mean anything bad by it i figured you guys would have a better time landing real wrestling techniques. If you can actually get consistent with a certain move you should post and explain it in new tech. dev.
There I already posted my single leg attacks now im working on doubles.

Time for some replays!
MMA: Ill be the first to point out how bad this guy was with the self grabs. Anyways I start off sliding underneath and footsweeping but he immediately replays his feet. With my hips angled away I invert and pull guard.
My leg hooks + his self grabs = arm dm. While inverted I carry him to the edge and finish with a turnover just as time runs out.

study-wrestling counter: I really want to get good at these turnovers where I get dangerously low. Maybe by pushing into but not "up" from the ground I barely float above DQ.

bushido - half throw: AFK first turn and then i load up a hip throw. However my sweeping leg is to far back so instead I spin away and turn it into a sexy half throw. The leg stepping back was key to the throw.

wrestling - single: restarting my single series, I land a mid-level leg grab and continue to walk through my opponent. Raising the leg and dropping his torso gives me full control and a gently drop him to the ground.

judo - osoto gari: This might be my new judo specialty. The timing on this was perfect, hooking my opponent's leg just as it landed from a lift. The speed had him fumbling into DQ.

Question. How do you guys think when you play Tori bashed? For example I play mostly conservatively so from the my opener I see what I'm being threatened with move towards the most applicable counter. I prioritize moving towards a safe position with as little movement as possible before flowing into dominate/threatening position as opposed to trying to force a throw. This play style results in a very steppy and heavy fighting style.
Usually after the first 2-3 turns I develop a gameplan depending on my opponent's form. It could be to go for a leg, try a footsweep, pull guard, etc.
From looking at my op's ghost I try to predict what his next movement will be.

If I feel threatened by his movement (ex: hes going for a leg grab) then I try to evade (take my leg away from his reach), if i cant evade i counter ( drop to hand base).

If I dont feel threatened I continue my gameplan so that i drive my technique in a way that is both forceful and unpredictable.
